If you’re reading this in your email, you’ve been brought over from my old newsletter, and first of all, thank you. Truly. Whether you’ve been reading my food stories for years or only just joined recently, I’m glad you’re here.
I’m reconnecting to let you know that from now on, this is where I’ll be writing. Substack will be the new home for my newsletter, and while I know change isn’t always easy or welcome, I hope you’ll come along for the ride. If it’s not your thing anymore, I get it. No hard feelings at all. You’re always welcome back.
So, why the move and why now?
A few things lined up. I’ve recently returned to teaching (which I’ll talk about in more detail soon), a move that has me thinking more about stories beyond the kitchen. There’s still going to be plenty about food here with recipes, reflections, seasonal things. But also more about other parts of my life that matter: from the classroom, family, travel and all the quiet (and no so quiet) bits in between.
I wanted a space that could hold all of that. Not just a food newsletter but a little corner of the internet where I can write honestly and thoughtfully about whatever’s on my mind. Substack felt like the right fit.
I’m aiming to post around a couple of times a month, maybe more when inspiration strikes! I really do enjoy writing (which is one of the main reasons for joining this space) but I don’t want it to be lonely out here! I’d love to hear from you, whether in the comments or directly.
Thanks again for being here! I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes.
